Arthur's Seat is an extinct volcano rising 251 meters above the sea. Ancient Celtic Druids considered it a sacred telluric energy node. For centuries, townspeople climbed to the peak at dawn on May Day (Beltane) to wash their faces in the morning dew, believed to impart youthfulness and spiritual clarity.
