Consecrated in 1185 AD by Heraclius, Patriarch of Jerusalem, Temple Church's round nave was modeled directly on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The 6 circular marble pillars support a pointed Gothic dome, aligning cosmic prayer with Solomonic geometry.
